Armed Robbery Appeal In Dubbo

Following Robbery At The Weekend

Police are seeking two possible witnesses to an armed robbery which occurred at a registered club in Dubbo at the weekend.

Just before 9.30pm on Sunday 4 February 2018, a 57-year-old man working in the office of the club on Wingewarra Street was approached by a man armed with a knife.

Police were told the armed man threatened the employee and demanded cash, later escaping with an amount of money.

He has been described to police as being about 183cm tall with a solid build wearing a green hooded jumper, dark pants and a facial covering.

Detectives from Orana Mid-Western Police District have been conducting extensive inquiries, including reviewing CCTV.

It’s believed two people were walking past the Western Plains Cultural Centre at 9.20pm and most likely saw the armed man.

Police are very keen to speak to them and are urging them to contact Dubbo Police Station and viewed CCTV.

They also encourage any other person with information to assist investigators to come forward.
