A 46-year-old Newtown woman charged with the murder of a cyclist in Gatton in 2012 has had her case adjourned.

Police are alleging she purposely drove her car into the cyclist on the night of August 22, resulting in the man's death.

Her solicitor was successfully in being granted an adjournment, as the case progresses to the higher courts.
