Two Toowoomba men have avoided jail time after pleading guilty in court to trafficking a dangerous drug.

Damian Paul Coutts and Brendan John Woodley both 21-years-old told the court how they sold marijuana to fund their own habit and to supplement their low incomes.

Both men were unemployed when they decided to selling the drug.

Police say that both men were co-operative once their operation became known to them and had made full admissions to their crime.

Coutts was sentenced to two years’ jail and Woodley 18 months.

Both men were ordered to be release immediately on parole.
