Two Children Injured After Being Hit By Car on Their Way to School

Two children, a seven-year-old boy and five-year-old girl suffered serious injuries from after being hit by a car on their way to school at Pittsworth yesterday morning.

Early investigations suggest that around 8:40am, a car struck the children while they were crossing the road, on the corner of Yandilla and Murray streets.

Both children were airlifted to Lady Cilento Hospital with serious head injuries.

They remain in a critical but stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
