The Toowoomba racing community is holding onto hopes for the speedy recovery of two track work riders after a fall at Clifford Park before Saturday’s Weetwood event.

Wade Clasohm and Ben Saunders' horses crashed into each other hours before Weetwood commenced on Saturday morning.  It is believed that one of the horses suffered a broken leg, causing the two horses to collide.

The workers sustained spinal injuries and were taken to the PA Hospital in Brisbane where they remain in Intensive Care.
