On Wednesday, June 20 police from Toowoomba Station conducted static observations and enforcement at the intersection of Bridge and Hume Streets, Toowoomba.
Between 8.00am and 9.30am a number of offences were detected, including:
- four ‘fail to stop at yellow traffic lights when driver could have stopped safely’
- one ‘driver use mobile phone whilst driving’
- one unaccompanied learner driver
- one drug driver
Police also conducted 40 RBTs but no positive results were detected.
This intersection is currently one of Toowoomba’s main areas for traffic accidents, and police will continue to conduct enforcement and target various offences at this and other intersections.
