Toowoomba Man Jailed for Trafficking Synthetic Marijuana

A 38-year-old Toowoomba man has been jailed for five years for trafficking synthetic marijuana.

The man worked as the Operations Manager of sex shop where the drugs were sold.

From an unknown Gold Coast supplier, drugs were packaged in Toowoomba, reserves stored in Rockhampton, and the product sold at stores under the counter in Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mackay and Bundaberg.

The drugs were packaged as "tea" and sold for a few months from late 2014.

Two people died in January 2015 as a result of taking the drugs – the trafficking ended two days after the deaths.
