Toowoomba Locals are being Encouraged to Do It Rough for One Night

Toowoomba's Saint Vincent de Paul is urging the community to volunteer to sleep rough for a night to help out the homeless.

The group is putting the call out for locals to join their corporate and community sleep out on July 27th.

The organizers have a big target in mind, the are looking to raise over $175,000.

Community Sleep Out Coordinator Darren Tomlinson says there is still plenty of time to register.

“You can register on-line at www.communitysleepout.org.au.  We are keeping registration a simple process, our aim is to make it as easy as possible.  Go to the registration page – register – click on Toowoomba – the click on register to sleep out – then follow the prompts.

I really ask the Toowoomba community to get behind the event.”
