Severe thunderstorms are on the cards across the region as heavy rain makes a welcome arrival.
Parts of the region including Dalby, Oakey and Jondaryan are expected to be hit by hail, rain and winds this morning as a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the Bureau.
BOM recorded rainfall of 11 millimetres in Toowoomba since 10pm last night, while Warwick has welcomed 20 millimetres. Applethorpe is fast on the way to hitting the 20mm mark also.
There is a report from Kingsthorpe having reached 78 millimetres in an hour this morning and some parts of Oakey flooding.
A reminder to everyone to drive safely, turn your lights on, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and “if it’s flooded – forget it.”
