A man has been charged after being caught by the Toowoomba Road Policing Unit allegedly sitting on a rolled up mattress serving as a front seat for his car.
It’s alleged the vehicle was intercepted by police on Brisbane Street, Drayton around 4.10pm on Monday September 4. Upon inspection of the vehicle police noticed that both the driver and his female passenger were sitting on rolled up foam mattresses with the front seats of the car missing altogether.
The car was impounded and the 30-year-old Harristown man charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving of a vehicle without a licence.
He is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on October 16.
