Queen’s Baton Relay Celebrations in Gatton are going to be HUGE!

There’s less than five weeks until the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) arrives in Gatton!

Thursday 29 March is the day and with the Commonwealth Games Baton set to arrive at 12.40pm, excitement continues to build over the community celebration that is sure to make it an afternoon to remember.

Council’s Mayor Tanya Milligan said the community response to the event’s entertainment, Justice Crew and ACCA DACCA had been unprecedented.

“We are thrilled the community is so excited about the amazing line-up of performers we have planned for the QBR community event.

“Best of all, the entire event is 100 per cent free!” Mayor Milligan said.

Come along to the Gatton Showgrounds for a jam-packed line-up, including:

 

  • 12.40pm - Queen’s Baton Bearer arrives
  • 1pm - 3.30pm - Local artists performing, including Island Vibes and Daniel Mackley
  • 3.30pm - Justice Crew on stage for 45 minutes
  • 4.15pm - Easter egg hunt
  • 4.30pm - ACCA DACCA perform
  • 6.15pm - fireworks
