Members of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community will be given the best chance of ‘tackling flu’ this season at a Health and Wellbeing Expo on Tuesday 2 May.

The expo will feature health information, activities and a free barbecue as well as the launch of the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service’s annual Tackle Flu Before It Tackles You campaign.

Now in its seventh year, the campaign promotes the influenza vaccination to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community who are at higher risk of complications from the flu.
