Police are renewing their appeal for public assistance to locate a 16-year-old boy reported missing from the Toowoomba area since May 1.

The boy (pictured) was last seen near the intersection of South Street and Drayton Road at Harristown about 6.15pm.

Police hold concerns for his welfare as he has not been heard from since.

The boy is described as Aboriginal in appearance, around 173cm tall with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen to be wearing blue Nike shoes, a pair of black shorts and a black t-shirt.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the boy to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers on 1800.333.000
