Police have charged a man and a teenage boy after the alleged robbery of two people in a house at Harlaxton on Saturday night.

Around 11pm a 68-year-old woman and 83-year-old man were at their Goombungee Road house when two males entered the premises and threatened the woman with a small knife.

The offenders then searched the house taking a few personal items.

They stole keys for a Proton sedan and drove the car down the driveway however, the car became bogged in a paddock across the road and they fled on foot.

Police investigations being held on Goombungee Road on Sunday moring resulted in two people matching the descriptions of the offenders being located along with some of the stolen property.

A 32-year-old Wilsonton Heights man has been charged with three counts of enter dwelling with intent, two counts of robbery in company and one count each of serious assault of a person over 60 and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.

A 15-year-old Harristown boy has been charged with three counts of enter dwelling with intent and two counts of robbery in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He has also been charged with one count each of serious assault of a person over 60, receiving tainted property and burglary.
