The next two weeks will be a time for reflection and reconciliation as USQ hosts National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week events across its campuses.

USQ in collaboration with the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation (QATSIF) will coordinate the events and encourage staff and students to attend.

The National Sorry Day event is to remember and recognise the Stolen Generations. The Reconciliation Week event will reflect on Reconciliation Australia’s 2017 theme, ‘Let’s Take the Next Steps’.

On May 26 scholarships funded by QATSIF will be awarded to Indigenous school students in Toowoomba, with another ceremony at USQ Springfield on May 31.
