Toowoomba Police continued a long tradition of honouring the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community through NAIDOC week with a flag raising ceremony on Wednesday, July 11.

The ceremony began at 10am with a Smoking Ceremony led by Alan Martin and continued with a heartfelt speech by Superintendent Mark Kelly, District Officer for Darling Downs.

The flag raising ceremony saw, all three flags raised with a minute silence for past Elders.
