Man in Custody After Allegedly Striking Man with Arrow

A Toowoomba snake catcher remains in custody after he allegedly struck a man in the face with an arrow.

36-year-old David Gregory Wiedman faced a Toowoomba court yesterday in relation to the matter however the case was adjourned for 24 hours to look at CCTV footage.

It is alleged that Wiedman and a 30-year-old man got into an argument which led to Wiedman using a bow and arrow to strike the man in the face.

The injured man was in hospital yesterday undergoing surgery for his injuries.

Wiedman is facing a number of drug and grievous bodily harm charges.

The case is to resume today.
