Locals Are Being Encouraged to Be Part of the Queen's Baton Relay

Darling Downs local legends are being called on to carry the Queen’s Baton as part of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay.

The relay will pass through our region taking in Oakey, Warwick and Toowoomba.

Commonwealth games organisers are looking for inspirational Darling Downs locals to carry the Queens Baton.

GOLDOC Deputy CEO Brian Nourse (nors) says it was important to bring the baton to the regions:

“Our ambition is make sure that we can get to as much of Australia and to ensure as many communities can share in the excitement.”
