One of the most popular names in Australian stand-up comedy, Dave Hughes, will be the special guest performer at a Sunrise Way fundraising dinner to be held in Toowoomba on Saturday June 2.
Sunrise Way CEO Wendy Agar said she was thrilled ‘Hughesy’ would be lending some star power to the fundraising event, and encouraged people to lock the date into their diary.
“What we’re saying to people is ‘Save the Date’! Tickets will be released for sale in the coming weeks, and we’re hoping for a great response.
“Keep an eye on Sunrise Way’s Facebook page for all the latest information.”
Ms Agar said Sunrise Way is committed to helping individuals living with addiction develop skills and strategies to maintain sobriety.
“We provide an essential service to the community and are not fully funded, so fundraising activities like this dinner event are an important part of our activities.
It’s these initiatives that enable us to help people from our region who have been living with addiction to rebuild their lives.”
2018 is looking great for Hughesy – he is the host of the hilarious “Hughesy, We Have A Problem,” and you can catch him on his smash hit radio show ‘Hughesy and Kate’ 4:30PM – 6:30PM for the drive home on the HIT network. Oh, and he will also be touring his brand new stand up show The Snorkeler around Australia.
