Airnorth is ramping up its flights between Toowoomba and Melbourne - announcing six additional weekly flights starting in May.

This will be followed by another two flights in June as the airline looks to capitalise on demand.

Wellcamp's Commercial Manager Sara Hales says a state of the art jet will be used to run the routes:

“One of the things that a lot of people in our community are unaware of about Airnorth is the actual quality of aircraft they are operating with.

It is a beautiful 76-seat Embraer E170 jet.  It is very, very comfortable.  The craft has two seats either side and there is a lot of leg room.”

Airnorth will expand direct jet services between Wellcamp Airport and Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport from May 8.
