Toowoomba’s CBD is in need of re-development.
The CBD has more than 50 vacant office spaces which has local commercial real estate agents suggesting it’s time for re-development of the area.
Parking, fading facades of the CBD’s older buildings and unrealistic expectations are all issues that need addressing.
The inability to park in the CBD is a major turn-off factor when trying to fill vacant space, along with the traffic congestion during office hours.
Council says it’s looking at a number of options to make sure parking remains accessible.
