If you missed seeing Alastair McLeod when he visited Grand Central in March, there’s good news – he’s coming back to cook at the centre this Sunday!

Grand Central Marketing Manager Marieke Bridgeman said the popular celebrity chef would be conducting cooking demonstrations in Grand Central’s Centre Court on Sunday August 5.

“There was a fantastic response by the community last time Alastair was here, and we’re excited to say that he’ll be back in-centre, sharing his knowledge and love of food with everyone,” she said.

“Alastair has an enthusiasm for all things food that is infectious.  He will be conducting three unique cooking demonstrations on the day, creating his favourite Winter dishes with fresh produce from Grand Central Market Room retailers including Andrew’s Meats, Central Seafood Market and Toowoomba Fresh.”

The delicious dishes Alastair will be demonstrating are:

10.00AM: Roasted Hervey Bay scallops with Granny Smith apples, ginger and lemon

11.30AM: One-Pot free range chicken with fennel, rosemary and radish

2:00PM: Pink Lady Brioche Galette

Ms Bridgeman said all demonstrations are free to attend and no RSVP is required.

“You can come to one session, or you can come to all.  We’ll also provide take home recipe cards so people can recreate the dishes at home.”
