A jury has found 21-year-old Brenden Jacob Bennetts guilty of the murder of Gatton school girl Jayde Kendall.
The eight-day trial wrapped up yesterday with the jury taking less than a day to deliberate.
Bennetts had admitted to killing the teenager early on in the eight-day with a plea of manslaughter which was rejected by the Crown.
The 16-year-old’ remains were found on a property in Upper Tenthill in August 2015, almost two weeks after she went missing.
Justice Ann Lyons says the punishment is fitting for the crime telling him that he will have to live with this for the rest of his life.
