Police will allege that two Dalby men both aged in their 20s assaulted two men outside Dalby’s Country Club Hotel in the very early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 12:30am.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene.  He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, while a 22-year-old man fled the location.

One of the two men allegedly struck by the pair was knocked unconscious and fell to the pavement, striking his head hard.

Police will allege the 22-year-old punched a boy, 14, sitting on a pushbike outside Dominos about five minutes after the pub incident.

The man was arrested and charged after the boy who suffered a black eye and bruising filed a complaint with police.

The man has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and will appear in court on November 20.

In a continuance of a strong ban against alcohol-fuelled violence on the Western Downs police will seek a court-ordered ban for the two men, barring them from attending any licensed venue in town.
