Police kept busy with crimes across the Coffs Coast

Police today appealing for public assistance after a girl was approached at about 7.45pm yesterday.

The 12 year old was walking her dog on Polwarth Drive when a man repeatedly attempted to initiate contact with her.

She managed to get away and reported the incident to her parents, police now wishing to speak with the man.

He's described as Caucasian in appearance with a tanned complexion, being 20 to 30 years old, fit, with short brown hair and a high-pitched scratchy voice.


On Tuesday morning a search warrant carried out at an Anderson Street property in Toormina, police allegedly turning up a large quantity of jewellery, mobile phones and other electrical devices, as well as what is believed to be methamphetamine.

A 21 year old man was arrested, he faced court yesterday on charges of possessing a prohibited drug, and goods in custody.

And on Tuesday evening a man reported driving erratically between Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga, while threatening motorists with a knife.

The 40 year old was arrested by off-duty police officers and charged, but not before 1 of whom was assaulted.
