Government under fire over leadership, Royal Commission

Luke Hartsuyker dragged in...

The Bellinger River's Labor branch spokesman Andrew Woodward taking aim at local MP Luke Hartsuyker, suggesting he's out of touch in regard to the announced Banking royal commission.

The Cowper MP last year flipped to reflect the views of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in opposition to an investigation, however the big banks call yesterday to have a royal commission has led to another change of heart from the government.

Mr Woodward says the Royal commission comes with the PM bowing to pressure from Labor, adding Mr Hartsuyker lacks policy and political judgement

Meantime also calls from Country Labor for Mr Hartsuyker to clarify his position on the Leadership of the Coalition Government.

Fellow National and Deputy State Premier John Barilaro this morning called on Malcolm Turnbull to be replaced as Prime Minister.

Mr Woodward now believes if the PM is not ousted before Christmas, it could spell the end of the Liberals - Nationals partnership
