Driver Killed in Fiery Crash South of Grafton

A person has been killed after their car crashed off the Pacific Highway and caught fire this morning in Glenugie, south of Grafton.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly before 9:30am this morning, after the hatchback ran off the highway and hit a tree off the southbound lanes. 

The sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside and passers-by were unable to free them before it was destroyed. 


While the Pacific Highway remains open, traffic may be disrupted while crime scene officers examine the scene.

The identity of the driver is unknown at this stage but police are keen to hear from anyone wish information of dashcam vision.
