Tamworth teens caught in a police chase near Rockhampton

It was a dramatic end to an armed Police chase in Central Queensland yesterday with two teenagers from Tamworth caught by police after holding up and robbing a Puma Service station and stealing a car.

Police eventually caught a 17 and 15 year old at a rural farm property near Yaamba, north of Rockhampton.

Earlier in the day Police took their 18 year old accomplice into custody.

Police Detective Acting Inspector Luke Peachey says the service station staff are still shaken, "they've obviously entered the store, they've obviously tried to conceal their identity. However we do believe we do know the identity of these people. They've then, one of the males has produced a firearm."
