This morning reports were coming through of a Rockhampton school in lock down and that police were putting on bullet proof vests as they prepared to enter a school involved in the lockdown of a major Rockhampton street.
Since these reports it has been revealed it was Allenstown High School who issued this statement:
A number of Queensland State Schools today received calls of a threatening nature. Allenstown State School was one of these. The school enacted its emergency procedures and went into lockdown with the Police in attendance. The school worked with Police to ensure all students and staff were safe.
The School has now been given the all clear to resume normal operations.
