There's been a big jump in the number of Aussies, hitting the Coast for a getaway.
The latest stats on domestic visitors shows 10% more made their way to us last year than in 2016.
They spent an average of just over $360 a head while lapping up our beaches, fine food and attractions like the Reptile Park.
It follows a similar study showing even bigger growth for international guests earlier this month, with a 32 per cent increase in foreigners checking out the Coast.
March 16: Foreign tourists have netted Central Coast cafes and hotels a whopping $67 million in the last year.
The latest International Visitor Survey's found there were 63,000 overseas travellers making their way to our region to December, up 32%.
It means on average, each overseas visitor spent more than $1000 during their stay on the Coast, which itself is an increase of 91% on 2016 figures.
