Three airlifted after separate accidents

UPDATE: A nine year old girl is recovering in Hospital, after hitting a fence while on her bike on Lord Street at Shelly Beach yesterday afternoon.

The Toll Air Ambulance took her to Westmead, after she suffered a large cut to the forehead and a shoulder injury in the incident.

It was one of three incidents where people were airlifted to hospital across the Coast yesterday.

Around quarter to three, two bikes collided on Bumble Hill Road at Kulnura leaving both riders injured.

A 19 year old man was airlifted by the Westpac Chopper to John Hunter Hospital with neck pain, shoulder, chest, leg and foot injuries. While a 27 year woman on the other bike was taken to Gosford Hospital with a knee injury.

An hour later, a 20-year-old woman has been flown to hospital after she fell from a horse in Glenworth Valley.

Paramedics and CareFlight’s helicopter were tasked to the suburb at 3.25pm, treating the woman for back injuries.

She was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

While a 19 year old man is now stable in John Hunter Hospital, after a motorbike accident at Kulnura this afternoon. He was airlifted by the Westpac Helicopter.
