One of the Central Coast's top cops has promised a bigger police presence in Gwandalan and Summerland Point, after locals have come forward with concerns.

Tuggerah Lakes Superintendent John Gralton says there have been several car thefts, 12 malicious damage offences and three break and enters in the past three months.

"We will target the area, and people within the area that we know are committing crimes or we suspect are committing crimes," Superintendent Gralton says.
