We've been having some odd weather lately.
No-one can get a handle on it, the Bureau of Meteorology is having some trouble even keeping up with its minute-by-minute changes. If you missed it yesterday, we were told to prepare for an almighty storm yesterday. But it never hit. Instead, Sydney received the enormous deluge we were expecting, whilst we barely saw any rain whatsoever.
It's set to get pretty warm over the next few days and into the weekend. As if it hasn't been warm enough, we're being told this heatwave will make last week's consecutive 30+ days feel like a nice Spring wedding.
Over last weekend, we also saw some heavy electrical activity in our stratosphere. Once again, it proved hard for the BoM to predict what we'd be seeing. Previously, we were told we'd have a loud and proud storm on our hands.
Instead, we were left with an amazing natural light show, but little else.
No rain, not too many thunderclaps. And really, no complaints either...
On Saturday, one Coastie braved the conditions to snap some pretty awesome shots over The Entrance.
Here are some of the snaps of the lightning show over Brisbane Water that Ethan Thomas managed to get.
Of course, we're not complaining. After the kinds of storms we've seen over the last few years, we're keen to have a little reprieve - even if it means the BoM struggles to give us accurate predictions.
