Paul Okon Reportedly Quits As Coach Of The Central Coast Mariners

He promised an exciting brand of football that would bring back the fans...but in the end a lack of wins has seen Central Coast Mariners Head Coach Paul Okon quit the club today....effective immediately.

With the Yellow and Navy headed for a second straight A-League campaign without Finals football under his watch, the 45 year old has departed just before his 2 year contract was up.

Okon was in charge for 50 games, recording 10 wins, 13 draws and 27 losses.

His winning percentage was better than predecessor Tony Walmsley...who guided the Mariners to their only wooden spoon to date.
