Motorbike and Car Crash at Mooney Mooney Prompts M1 Commuter Chaos

A motorbike rider's escaped serious injury after colliding with a ute on the M1 at Mooney Mooney this morning.

NSW Ambulance reps say the 58-year-old man's been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with spine and chest pain after the smash just before 6:00am.

No other injuries are reported.

The accident site's been cleared up but it earlier caused major traffic delays heading into the city, with cars and trucks banking up for around 10 kilometres at one point.

Meantime, there are calls for Coasties to drive safely as we continue our morning commute.

It's after a string of serious crashes over the weekend.

A 46-year-old man lost his life when two utes and a Pantech truck crashed at Mount White Friday afternoon.

A female motorbike rider suffered critical injuries after smashing into a guard rail at Alison Saturday.

While at least one woman was taken to Wyong Hospital with back pain, after a car rolled off the Central Coast Highway at Buff Point around 3:30pm yesterday.
