A 31-year-old man is fighting for life this morning after an alleged domestic violence-related stabbing at Long Jetty.

Police say he and his 27-year-old housemate got into a fight about 7:30 overnight, when the younger male attacked him three times in the lower rib area with a knife.

Two women rushed him from the Toowoon Bay Road scene to The Entrance Police Station, were officers and paramedics gave first aid.

The 27-year-old man was cuffed back at Long Jetty, charged with grievous bodily harm.

He remains behind bars to front Wyong Court today.

The victim remains in a critical condition at John Hunter Hospital's ICU.
