A man will spend at least the next three nights behind bars, after allegedly threatening five people with a knife in Lake Haven last night.
Police will allege in Wyong Court on Wednesday the 18-year-old armed himself with the blade and approached four women and a man while they were sitting in a car at a fast food outlet around 8:40pm.
Officers say he threatened them before jumping on the Toyota Echo's windscreen and smashing it.
It's understood the man then fled the scene, and broke into a home garage on Courigal Street and stole a Holden Commodore inside.
The car was eventually located abandoned nearby, and while a subsequent search with a dog unit failed to find the driver they ultimately arrested the 18-year-old at a home on Phyllis Street in Kanwal at 1:30 this morning.
The teen briefly appeared in court today, and has been charged with armed with intent commit indictable offence, destroy or damage property, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, enter dwelling with intent (steal), take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, and an outstanding warrant.
