Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on the M1 Pacific Motorway for early work in preparation for a major upgrade, between Kariong and Somersby interchanges.
Early work involves using a small excavator to adjust utilities on the shoulder of the motorway.
Work will be carried out from Monday 12 February between 9.30pm to 4.30am and is expected to be completed by Friday 23 February, weather permitting.
There will be a 40km/h speed limit in place while work is carried out for the safety of workers and all motorists. Work requires northbound and southbound lane closures.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control. All lanes will reopen to traffic during the day from 4.30am to 9.30pm and there will be no speed limit reduction in place during these times.
