Motorists are advised that changed traffic conditions will start from this Sunday night on the M1 Motorway at the Warnervale Interchange, for the for the first phase of the Sparks Road Bridge widening.

For the safety of motorists and workers, full closures will be in place at night on the M1 Motorway at the Warnervale Interchange and Sparks Road Bridge between Sunday 22 and Friday morning 27 July, weather permitting.

Full closure and detour will be in place on the northbound lanes between 10pm and 4am from Sunday 22 to Monday 23 July.

Full closure and detour will be in place on the southbound lanes between 10pm and 3am from Tuesday 24 to Friday morning 27 July.

After these work hours, single lane closures will be in place for one hour before and one hour after these times.

A short M1 detour, moving up and over the existing on and off ramps at Sparks Road, will be used to allow motorists to continue their journey with minimal disruption. Sparks Road Bridge will also be reduced to a single lane of traffic during the work.

The detour is through the interchange only and will not add any additional distance to the journey. The speed limit through the detour is 40 km/h.

The existing 80 km/h speed limit of the Tuggerah to Doyalson Project remains in place.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.

Oversized or over mass vehicles must contact 1800 841 778 at least 10 days prior to any proposed travel. Please follow the phone prompts to speak directly to the project team who will arrange provisional travel through the site.

Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience during this time. Motorists and the community will be advised if similar arrangements like this will be necessary in the future as the work progresses.
