The sledging continues over the Central Coast's commuter carparks, with Labor calling on the Coalition to back its plan for upgrades.

Liberal Robertson rep Lucy Wicks has rubbished a 15 million spend promised by Opposition Leader Bill Shorten last week, saying the sum's not enough for three upgrades at Gosford, Tuggerah and Woy Woy.

Labor candidate Anne Charlton says the policy's been well received though.

"We will be able to deliver real relief for commuters, and this commitment gets the ball rolling on projects the both state and federal governments have left by the wayside," Ms Charlton says.

“Coasties need to know that whoever wins the next election will be serious about fixing this ongoing parking shortage."
