In particular, we're being told those who suffer seasonal allergies may be affected by the increased smoke activity.

We're also being told to keep a close eye on our pets over the next couple days.

The planned hazard reduction fires will take place in in two places to the north an west of our region:

Five hectares of bushland along Wyee Road in Doyalson will be engulfed in a controlled fire between 9am - 5pm on Wednesday.

On Thursday, bushland on Huey Huey Road, Jilliby and near Brush Creek Road, Yarramalong will undergo hazard reduction.

Take care if you happen to be in the area.
