Investigations are underway following a fatal pedestrian crash in Berkeley Vale yesterday evening.

About 9.15pm, emergency services were called to Wyong Road near Pindarri Avenue, Berkeley Vale, after reports a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

A 60-year-old woman died at the scene.

Initial inquiries suggest the woman was crossing Wyong Road, when she was hit by a Holden travelling in an easterly direction.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to Wyong Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District will prepare a report for the Coroner.

It takes the Coast's road toll for the year to 19.

The incident was one of four fatal crashes on NSW roads yesterday, while two men were also seriously injured after being hit by cars while trying to cross roads in St.Leonards and Springwood.

Police have again appealed for safety on our roads.
