Four men have been charged over an alleged armed robbery involving a baseball bat at Lisarow over the weekend.

It's understood a 16-year-old boy was threatened and hit with the bat as he was walking along Prings Road shortly after midnight on Sunday.

Witnesses say the alleged offenders fled with the teen’s shoes after spotting patrolling officers nearby

The boy suffered a head wound and was taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment – he’s since been released.

A 31-year-old from Kangy Angy and 19-year-old from Shelley Beach were arrested a short time later.

Both have been charged with assault with intent to rob armed offensive weapon wound/grievous bodily harm. They’ll face court on December 14.

While police then caught up with a 20-year-old on Tuesday and a 16-year-old – both from Killarney Vale, yesterday.

They’ve both been charged with assault with intent to rob armed offensive weapon wound/grievous bodily harm, and will face court on November 6th and 16th respectively.
