The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is calling for an urgent forum to address the issue of the choked Ettalong channel near Box Head.
President Matthew Wales told SEA FM's journo Emily O'Brien it's gotten to a critical stage.
"There are businesses that could be severely impacted by the closure of the channel and any cessation of the Palm Beach ferry service."
"What we're now doing is looking to both the council and the state government to set up an open forum with all interested stakeholders to get to the bottom of budgeting and the timing of getting the channel dredged."
It comes after the Ettalong to Palm Beach ferry service has ran aground a number of times in recent months.
