The Central Coast's road toll for 2018 has risen to 12, following an accident at The Entrance North yesterday that saw two pedestrians hit by a car.

The impact claimed 26-year-old Cade Shiells' life, while 48-year-old Kevin Stokes remain critical in John Hunter after also being hit on Wilfred Barrett Drive just after midnight on Sunday.

A 44-year-old man's been charged with a string of dangerous driving offences, and has been bailed ahead of fronting Wyong court next month.

He apologised to the families outside Wyong Police station yesterday, though claims he didn’t see the two men on the road.
