Central Coast Council's pools and gyms are set for a $2.08 million revamp this financial year.

Leisure Centre boss Phil Cantillon says Lake Haven's getting the most attention and cash in this round of funding. Around 60% of the spend - or $1.3 million - will be put towards upgrading the building.

"There's going to be some new gym equipment, we've already improved the scoreboards and we're going to improve the infrastructure in terms of the roof, windows cladding and the changing rooms and toilets."

A further $800,000 will go towards solar pool heating at Woy Woy and Toukley.

"We're upgrading the grandstand at Wyong Pool and we'll also be doing the toilets," Cantillon adds.

It comes after Council spent $1.7 million on the same six leisure centres last financial year.

Meantime, Council's committed $100,000 to upgrade Niagara Park Stadium, five years after it took over managing the venue and started hiring it out for parties.

"We've purchased a lot of inflatable equipment like jumping castles and slides to improve the fun factor," Cantillon says, "so there will be more activities for people of all ages and abilities there."
