The Central Coast Commuters Association wants our major parties to work together to provide extra carparks near our train stations.

The group is calling on the Turnbull Government to match Labor's $15 million commitment to add 1,000 extra spaces around Gosford, Woy Woy and Tuggerah.

“For too long, the chronic shortage of car parks in our major commuting hubs has been ignored,” the group said in a statement.

“We need bipartisan action to combat this crisis to ensure whoever wins the election will be serious about fixing this issue.”

While the group's also backed Central Coast Council's position that the recent $26 million Financial Assistance Grant it received from the federal government should not be used for the facilities.

“Many of the commuters we represent know that the Central Coast is in serious need of local road investment”.
