Staff have taken to Facebook to report Principal and Licensee Wayne Hockey is doing well and is in good spirits.

 

A man has been freed after a car slammed into a Bateau Bay shopfront this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the corner of The Entrance and Bateau Bay Roads before 9:30, following reports a real estate worker became trapped under the vehicle.

It took them half an hour to get him out.

The 59-year-old has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with suspected lower leg and pelvic injuries.

While ambos say a person in the car's been taken to Gosford Hospital with minor injuries.
