Avoca's Macy Callaghan Has Qualified For The 2019 Surfing World Championship Tour!

Macy Callaghan has become the Central Coast's newest World Tour surfer after finishing runner up at the Port Stephens Pro.

The 18 year old, who's a member of North Shelly Boardriders, will be 1 of 3 Avoca surfers on the WCT in 2019, with fellow locals Wade Carmichael & Adrian Buchan flying the flag for the men.

Meanwhile, Copacabana's Matt Wilkinson is looking to join them.

He needs a strong result at the Hawaiian Pro QS event which started today....and the season ending Pipeline Masters, to ensure a crucial Top 22 finish.
