Armed robbery at Wyoming tobacco store

A man remains on the run after holding up a tobacconist in Wyoming overnight.

Police says the man entered the store on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Kinnara avenue around 6:50 last night threatening a female employee with a serrated knife.

He stole cash and cigarettes, before being spotted by police on Henry Parry Drive at North Gosford.

The man was last seen running in Dunbar Way, North Gosford.

Investigators wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 40 and 45, 168cm tall, of a medium build, blond and brown short hair, stubble and missing teeth.

The man was described as wearing a black hooded rain jacket and black pants with white stripes.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
